Linden Garden Club

My involvement with Linden Garden Club reflects a deep appreciation for gardens as shared cultural spaces and living histories. Founded over 100 years ago on Linden Avenue in Point Breeze, the club has long been dedicated to horticultural education, civic beautification, and community stewardship.

I currently serve on the club’s executive board, contributing to its ongoing work through leadership, planning, and support of educational programming and volunteer initiatives. Through meetings, lectures, garden visits, and service efforts, the club offers a continual education — not only in gardening, but in the care and continuity required to sustain shared spaces over time.

This work aligns closely with my broader interests in hospitality, teaching, and thoughtful living. It reinforces the belief that tending a garden and tending a community often call for the same sensibilities: patience, attentiveness, and a commitment to something that extends well beyond oneself.
