Flower Shop Vintage

Flower Shop Vintage grew naturally from my time as a florist. It was an exploration of how the romance of flowers could live on through clothing and objects meant to be worn, kept, and loved. Launched after closing the flower truck during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shop became a new creative outlet.

The collection blended vintage clothing and home décor inspired by floral design — embroidered collars, fabric-covered buttons, soft pastels, timeworn neutrals, and romantic prints chosen for their movement and charm. I operated two in-person retail spaces alongside an Instagram shop, curating pieces with the same eye I once brought to selecting florals for my truck: thoughtful composition, balance, and a sense of story.

During my time at Bohème, a beloved vintage cooperative on Butler Street, Flower Shop Vintage consistently ranked among the highest-selling vendors, reflecting both the strength of the curation and a loyal, engaged customer base. The project eventually led me to Paris on a sourcing trip, where I returned with one-of-a-kind pieces for an exclusive “Sourced in Paris” collection.

The project also marked my first foray into visual storytelling beyond retail. Wanting the collection to feel as romantic and intentional as the pieces themselves, I began creating original lookbooks and styling lifestyle photography sessions—learning how light, setting, and narrative could shape the way an object is seen and felt. What began as a practical need became a creative turning point, laying the groundwork for my ongoing work in brand imagery and visual direction.

Flower Shop Vintage was a study in translation and remains an important chapter in my creative work, one that deepened my understanding of storytelling, curation, and the emotional resonance of beautiful things.
